FROM October 16, learn about the fascinating story of Tenby’s Lifeboat over the generations at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.
From slipways and coxswains, to heroic rescue attempts and technological advances, they’ve got a bit of everything in their new exhibition, ‘Errands of Mercy: Tenby & The Lifeboat’.
Tenby Museum and Art Gallery is “extremely grateful” to RNLI and their Tenby Crew for digging out treasures to be included in the displays.
The museum also has some RNLI merchandise in its shop.
Situated overlooking the sea on Castle Hill in Tenby, tickets to the museum are less than £10 and continue to be valid for 12 months, with children under 13, wheelchair users and carers admitted free of charge. Note that dogs are not allowed into the museum - with the exception of assistance dogs.
The museum is open Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm, with last entry 3.30pm.
