A FREE life skills class for adults with additional needs takes place at Tenby on Wednesday afternoons, and newcomers are welcome.

Taking place on Wednesdays during term time, between 1pm and 3pm, the class is a friendly, relaxed place to learn, share ideas and build confidence together.

The class is held at Tenby Community Learning Centre, by the library in Greenhill Avenue.

Carers are welcome, too.

Lauren Smith, volunteer with The Tenby Project, is keen to promote this Learning Pembrokeshire class and get people interested in it.

Life skills classes help people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) gain practical autonomy, confidence, and readiness for work or community living. Skills can include independent living and self-care, numeracy and financial literacy, communication and social skills, digital safety, and support for transition into work.

These new Tenby classes involve collaborative activities, gentle group problem-solving and communication exercises designed to build trust and social confidence.

This half-term’s topic is ‘Teamwork’.
