Plans for alterations to a beachfront propety in Saundersfoot, have been objected to by members of the seaside village’s Community Council.

The applications (reference: NP/26/0344/FUL) ) for a proposed front extension, rear elevation alterations and dormer; and NP/26/0345/FUL for a proposed rear patio area remodelling, at 20A, The Strand, were discussed by Saundersfoot Community Council members at their recent meeting.

Members unanimously resolved to object to the first application on the grounds that it negatively impacts on the privacy of the neighbouring properties; the previous development (cladding) is not in accordance with the planning permission granted; the building is not in keeping with its neighbouring properties.

They also resolved to object to the second application on the grounds that it negatively impacts on the privacy of the neighbouring properties; it will restrict the beach view of neighbouring properties and is not in keeping with beachside properties along The Strand.
