Tenby and County Club (sponsored by LG Leisure and Get Stuffed Pizza Co) played away to the Cons on Monday evening and were 3-2 winners.
This was despite the fact that Tenby only had four players after a player pulled out at the last minute.
The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play M. McCarthy. Glyn, still in good form, won again, but only just, on the black, to avenge his only loss to this team this season.
The second frame saw Martin Durham take on A. Powles. Martin started well against a good player, but not having played in recent weeks, he would need all his resolve to win this one. But, as the game got to the colours, Martin was 25 points behind and, although still in with a chance, unfortunately it was not to be.
The third frame saw Mark Cleevely play Jon Davies. Mark, keen to keep his 100 per cent record intact, started slowly, but soon got going. Midway through the frame, though, he got bogged down, with some good safety being exchanged. mark then found an opening to record a timely 25 break, before stretching his lead with another of 13. Mark was now firmly in control and he won comfortably in the end.
The last frame saw Steve Cook play P. Thomas. Steve, another player with a 100 per cent record, needed to keep this percentage to enable Tenby to maintain their unbeasten run. He started slowly, but he is one of Tenby's best players, along with Mark Cleevely, and opened with a 40 break. After that, Steve was never in trouble and won comfortably.
NB. The Conservative Club are second to Tenby in the league.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all readers from all at Tenby and County Club snooker team.
