Tenby and County Club (sponsored by LG Leisure and Get Stuffed Pizza Co) played away on Monday evening to the Balfour Club in Haverfordwest and were 3-2 winners.
Tenby were up against it from the start when one of the players pulled out at the last minute leaving them with four players.
First frame saw Dave Wooles play A. Roach. Dave started the stronger (obviously been practising this week) and sped into an early lead. However, he was soon behind and he seemed everything he did went wrong. He eventually lost on the pink.
Second frame saw Mark Cleevely take on R. Narbett. Mark was struggling to find any rhythm early on, but he soon got going with some good pots, but he was having some bad luck with positioning and his opponent was pinching the odd red to frustrate Mark. However, Mark started to pull away, eventually winning on the pink.
Third frame saw Glyn Davies take on a Gordon. Glyn started slowly (as he normally does) but soon got into his stride potting some good long pots. In a very rare show of potting, Glyn won comfortably in the end on the brown.
Fourth and last frame saw Steve Cook take on D.Morgan, Steve needing this frame for the team to win 3-2, with a player down. He started the brighter and was 15 points up early on and the way Steve is playing at the moment you wouldn't bet against him losing. However, Steve's opponent potted a good 21 to get back in it giving Steve something to think about, but Steve is far too experienced to worry unduly (but this was worrying!) Steve was now up against it, however a couple of lucky snookers put Steve right back in charge. Steve eventually winning on the pink.
