The weather might have been better, the winds might have been lighter, the rain less intense, but this conspiracy of conditions did not prevent Pembrokeshire Ramblers from setting out on their walk around the southern heads of the county on Saturday.
Eight ramblers defied the ferocity of the elements and set out from West Angle Bay car park following the cliff path to Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire's own version of Hollywood, and site of Harry Potter's Shell House which, magically, was able to resist the near gale force gusts coming off an angry ocean.
From Freshwater West, the walk passed the Rocketcart House and made its way around Angle Bay, past the Old Point House, and back via Chapel Bay to the car park.
The next walk, going to Yerbeston and Landshipping, is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, and walkers should meet at Cresswell Quay at 10.30 am.
