Pembrokeshire Scale Modellers is the proposed name for a new club being set-up for makers of scale models of all types - aircraft, ships, vehicles, railways etc., built from home and commercial cast components, kits, resin - even card.
Their first meeting was an eye-opener, when members were treated to a display of radio controlled models which could perform all the actions of a tank, which also had all the right sound and lighting effects of the real thing, and an American truck with these, plus the ability to remotely couple-up to a trailer and drive off! As well as static display model aircraft, there was a traction engine and RAF air sea rescue launch in a realistic setting during 1942.
