Tenby's Tourist Information Centre has moved to a new location. The new visitor centre is close to the multi-storey car park in the Gateway Centre, Upper Park Road. All services are offered, including accommodation booking; transport timetables; information on events and places to visit, as well as advice on routes, walks and places to eat. Maps, guidebooks, brochures as well as a selection of gifts are also on display. The TIC, which is one of the busiest in Wales, was relocated after the county council put its previous building on The Croft overlooking North Beach up for sale. Last year, 76,636 people visited the popular centre, which also dealt with 18,091 phone, fax and e-mail enquiries. Clr. Rob Lewis, cabinet member for sports, leisure, tourism and cultural services, said the new centre would ensure that the high level of service the TIC offered the public would be maintained.
