There's just one more frugal lunch left in Tenby to mark Lent and help the world's poorest families at the same time.

The final 'austerity meal' of soup, roll and butter and a cuppa is at St. Johns Church on Wednesday (April 8).

The Rev. Michael John, of Tenby Christian Aid, said: "We've had some very friendly lunches at three Tenby churches - The Salvation Army, St. Johns and St. Mary's. We hope to build on them next year.

"It's a really pleasant way to help people who are in horrendously difficult circumstances in the world's trouble spots. The Christian Aid committee is very grateful to the many diners who have so generously given their support.

"We're aiming to make the last lunch a grand finale - with even more money given to this vital cause."

Anyone who can't make the last lunch is invited to leave a donation at the door, or with the Christian Aid secretary at 9 Crackwell Street.
