Mrs. M. E. Edwards Tenby
The funeral took place on Tuesday, May 20, of Mrs. Margaret Einon Edwards, of The Sheilings, 7 Harding Street, Tenby, who passed away on Tuesday, May 13, at Withybush Hospital. She was aged 88 and a much-loved member of St. Johns Church and the community. A large congregation of family and friends gathered for the funeral service at St. Johns Church, Tenby, which was followed by a service at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth. The service was conducted by Rev. Nanette Lewis- Head and the organist was Mr. Alan Adams. Margaret was predeceased by her husband George, but is survived by her son Mike, daughter-in-law Carolynn, daughter Pam and son-in-law Brin, grandchildren Ian, Michelle, Richard, Sarah, Helen, and great-grandchild Aaron, together with Caroline, John and family, and Trevor and family, and other family and friends too numerous to mention. The bearers were great-nephews Ian and Chris, Les Tovey and Richard Ormond. The funeral took place on May 9 of Mr. Geoffrey Thomas Hughes. A large crowd of sportsmen and friends attended the service at Parc Gwyn. Brought up in Lawrenny, he played cricket for the local team, and later became a football referee. Although he underwent a major operation 10 years ago, he still maintained his interest in local teams. He passed away at Withybush Hospital, on May 2, after being a patient there for six weeks. He was well known before his retirement, working for Mixconcrete as a owner/driver, delivering to building sites and farmers. Geoffrey will be sadly missed by his wife Dolly, daughter Gillian, son-in-law Christer and granddaughters Hannah and Louise. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd., The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby.
Mr. A. P. Larsen Saundersfoot
The death occurred peacefully at Park House Court Nursing Home, Tenby, on May 11, of Mr. Andrew Paul Larsen, aged 97, of Paulfryn, St. Brides Lane, Saundersfoot. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty, and children Andrea, Judith, Jeremy and Jonathan and their families. The funeral will be held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, on Saturday, May 31, at 2.30 pm. There is a request for family flowers only, please.
