The West Wales Under 16 Schools Basketball Championships were held at Tasker Milward School on Monday, January 12.
Greenhill took three under 14 and three under 15 players as part of their squad.
In their first game against Sir Thomas Picton, the Greenhill team were very nervous and did not play with any structure.
The game was very close, with Sir Thomas Picton just edging it by six points to five. This was not a good start for Greenhill and they knew they would have to play much better.
Their next game saw them play Preseli and start to play much better, easily beating their opponents by 28-6.
In their third game, Greenhill came up against tournament favourites Tasker Milward, who had already beaten Sir Thomas Picton convincingly.
Greenhill started well, with Dan Griffiths scoring two baskets with excellent shots. The rest of the first half saw the game swing back and forth.
During the second half, the Greenhill big men, Aran Torok and Bruce Tasker, dominated the boards, which allowed Jamie Nicholas to score six points.
Dan Colley did a great defensive job on Taskers' best player and all the boys defended well, with the final score 18-11 to Greenhill.
The last game saw Greenhill play St. Davids in a game the boys dominated, with Luke Laidler, Karl Amos and Will Copp playing particularly well for Greenhill.
The final score was 20-4 to Greenhill, meaning they won the tournament on points difference from Tasker Milward and Sir Thomas Picton. Well done boys!
Squad: Bruce Tasker, Aran Torok, Dan Griffiths, Will Copp, Dan Colley, Jamie Nicholas, Luke Laidler and Karl Amos.
