Staff and pupils had a great day at the autism centre at Pembroke School last Thursday, despite the cloudy weather.
The autism Olympics were held in the morning with four events, javelin, shot putt, obstacle course and tunnel ball at the leisure centre.
Rhys Eynon, Olympic torch bearer and ex-pupil, came to the event and showed the torch to a crowd of pupils, staff, parents and governors.
Rhys gave a motivational speech - everyone was so proud of him.
Afterwards, everyone went to the walled garden for a jubilee tea party and award ceremony.
People purchased hotdogs, cakes and drinks, and combined with a raffle, £250 was raised for Cancer Research.
Thanks go to Asda and Tesco for voucher donations, to Rhys for coming along with the torch and to all autism centre staff for their preparations, baking and organising.
"It really was a fantastic day and a positive way to begin the summer celebrations," said Claire Bullock, head of the autism centre.
