SPORTS DAY

Everyone had a fantastic time, at all of Saundersfoot's Sports Day events, from Nursery to Year 6. The children were fantastic and all took part in the races with enthusiasm!

Congratulations to all of the cup winners in Years 5 and 6, and to all the superb relay teams winners.

Special congratulations to the overall individual winners in Year 6; Leonie Evans, who won the Victrix Ludorum Cup for coming first in the sprint, long jump, long distance, hurdles and high jump events; and Ross Gray, who won the Victor Ludorum for coming first in high jump, long distance, long jump and hurdles events. A great achievement, well done!

MUSICIANS AT

COUNTY FESTIVAL

Pictured above are pupils of Saundersfoot Community Primary School who recently took part in the Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Music Festival.

Many of the pupils participated in the morning concert, which was for area groups, and in the afternoon individual competitions took place.

Gemma Amos and Jasmine Langdon were winners in the brass and percussion open competition.

The school's string quartet played brilliantly and were placed third in the classical ensemble.

Saskia Parker, 2nd grade 3 flute.

Emily Brace, 2nd grade 2 cello.

Elinor Brewer and Jasmine Langdon joint 3rd in grade 3 flute and oboe.

Lauren Bendall, cello grade 2, highly commended.

Rachel Hensman, 3rd grade 2 clarinet.

Lily Whitehurst, grade 2 piano, highly commended.

Zoe Allen, grade 2 violin, highly commended.

Chelsea Harris, 2nd in grade 3 cello.

Patrick Elliott, grade 2 brass, highly commended.

ATHLETICS

Saundersfoot's athletics team (seen above) took part in the Carmarthen District Athletics Championships in Carmarthen.

All athletes did extremely well, and special congratulations go to Leonie Evans, who won the hurdles and high jump events. Also, to Jodie Smith who came second in the Shot putt event.
