Members of Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions Club recently celebrated their 31st charter dinner and handover at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby. Clr. Sue Lane, Mayor of Tenby, along with chairpersons from Soroptimists and Rotary Clubs in Tenby, together with Lion District Governor John Charles and members of Lions Clubs and their wives from within Pembrokeshire, all enjoyed a wonderful evening banquet and entertainment into the early hours as is usual at the club HQ. Retiring president Eddie Weldrake handed over the chain of office to incoming president Lion Peter Wilton and assured him of the club's full support over the coming 12 months and hoped it would be as successful as the last year had been. If you would like more information about the Lions Club and the charitable work and activities it carries out, please call (01834) 842507. This Sunday sees the Lions Club Paella Festival taking place at Tenby Harbour, 2 pm until 10 pm. There will be freshly cooked food, live music and a licensed bar, so why not go on down, relax and enjoy, and give them your support - all ages welcome and there is free admission.
