Swimmers in next year's New Year's Day Swim at Saundersfoot will have the choice of two types of sponsor forms.

As well as the traditional one, swimmers will now have the opportunity of having a Gift Aid sponsor form, with the benefit of receiving additional funds from the government.

The Gift Aid form will be for those swimmers collecting for a registered charity.

Recipient of the very first Gift Aid form, 0001, was Anna Ryder-Richardson, of Manor House.

Anna, fresh from her debut in this year's Silver Swim, will lead the swimmers in 2010.  

All sponsor forms are available from Evans' newsagents.

The 2009 'Silver Swim' attracted 1,176 swimmers, raised over £46,000 and benefited 55 charitable and worthy causes.
