National Theatre Wales are reimagining their acclaimed online show ‘Possible’ by Shôn Dale-Jones, into a live theatrical experience for audiences throughout Wales to enjoy in person this November and the Torch Theatre are delighted to welcome to production to its stage this Saturday (November 13) at 7.30 pm.

‘Possible’ was originally created as a digital performance streamed into people’s living rooms during lockdown, when theatres across the country were closed. Now, as venues in Wales reopen their doors, the original team are back together to reimagine the show to be performed live on stage in front of an audience.

National Theatre Wales, along with many other arts and entertainment organisations, are eager to breathe life back into the theatre sector after a challenging year for the industry, which was hit badly by the pandemic.

Lorne Campbell, Artistic Director of National Theatre Wales said: “We are thrilled to finally have the greenlight to tour work and reconnect with audiences who have not been able to experience live theatre together for most of the past 18 months.”

Describing the show, Shôn Dale-Jones said: “Possible is a response to the last 18 months. I wanted to find a way of capturing the emotional journey we’ve been on since the pandemic exploded into our lives. I wanted to make something which might hold us together around the things that really matter, something that might encourage us to rise to the challenges. The show is about understanding that we need to address the past in order to realise the future and that there is no better time than the present to be doing that.”

With a kaleidoscopic dreamscape of animation and film by Bear Thompson, underscored with original music performed live by John Biddle. It’s a show about love, creativity and finding the courage to explore the past, in order to shape the future.

Possible by Shôn Dale-Jones is co-directed and designed by Stefanie Mueller. Original music performed live by John Biddle, animation and film projections by Bear Thompson, sound design by Sam Jones and lighting design by Katy Morison.

Possible contains content that some audience members may find triggering.
