After several months of work to alleviate flooding issues in the Bushes Lane area, and at a cost of over £70,000, the lane at Narberth has now reopened.

This coincides with the new footpath from Bloomfield around the perimeter of the rugby ground, which will be completed early next week in time for the new rugby season.

"I have invited a number of groups and officials to visit the area during the course of next week," said County Councillor Wynne Evans.

"I am grateful to residents of the area for their patience, and in particular Narberth Rugby Club for their total support and commitment for this very important project, also to all the council officers involved.

"The contractors were G. D. Harries, of Narberth, and their team of highly trained operatives carried out all the extensive work, in particular Shane Clews, Mark Philpin, Scott Brenchley, Steve Tooms, Shane Beynon and Dave Sillars."
