ON Sunday, diners at Tenby's Fourcroft Hotel were treated to a sparkling performance from Mojas, the latest band to perform at one of the hotel's popular 'Jazz brunch' concerts. Mojas took their audience on a world tour via their music. From Africa to the Caribbean via the Balkans through Tenby and back again. It was all there in their music. The audience listened as they ate, with shoulders swaying and feet tapping. Have no doubt about it, they were where the music took them at any one time and enjoying every moment of it. So captivating was the rhythm and beat, that the sounds remained in the head of all who heard them for hours after. Mojas are a band more used to playing to large outdoor audiences and indeed have performed several times at Tenby's sea-front festivals. They more than did themselves justice in the dining room of the Fourcroft Hotel. The six-piece band produced some excellent music. The blend of brass, guitar, woodwind, drums and percussion was a joy to behold. Whether playing as a whole or giving a solo performance, each band member gave their all. It was obvious they were enjoying themselves as much as their audience. This was the spirit of Tenby at its very best. Live music being played as it should be; by talented musicians to a highly appreciative audience. Congratulations to Chris and Cath Osborne, of the Fourcroft Hotel, for supporting live music on a regular basis. Look out and listen for Mojas at this year's Kite Festival. If the kites are dancing in the sky, Mojas won't be too far away.
