A TALK with an intriguing title, taking place in a wonderful venue, should appeal to music lovers and travellers alike when local author and music critic, Paul Griffiths looks at 'Music and Marco Polo' on Monday, September 19, at 2.30 pm in St. Julian's Church, Tenby.

In his discourse, Paul will interweave disparate strands from two of his published works, the Penguin 'Companion to Classical Music' and his novel 'Myself and Marco Polo' (Picador).

Paul is former music critic of the Times, the New York Times and the New Yorker and a contributor to the BBC. His latest book, 'The Substance of Things Heard' (Boydell and Brewer), will be published next month, while 'A Concise History of Western Music' (Cambridge University Press) should be available in the spring.
