A campaign to help a seriously ill Whitland boy fund medical treatment overseas has topped £36,000.

This week alone, Morgan’s Fight fundraisers have raised over £6,000.

Morgan’s Fight is fundraising so that six-year-old Morgan Hayes can have lifesaving treatment in America for a rare aggressive cancer called neuroblastoma.

“We have many events in the pipeline, including fundays, afternoon tea, race night, bingo/curry night, emergency services football match and grand raffle,” said said fundraiser Caroline Thomas, assistant head at Morgan’s school Ysgol Llys Hywel.

“We have a new website www.morgansfight.simplesite.com where raffle and auction prize information can be found, including a silent auction to be a Wales Mascot at the Wales v Ireland football match this October. There will also be a weekly blog from Morgan’s family to keep us updated on his treatments and what he has been up to.

“Weekly donation updates can be found on the Morgan’s Fight Facebook page and his Twitter @fight_morgan

“If anybody wants to donate, then they can do so via the Morgan’s Fight donation page at https://www.gofundme.com/3ywagnc
