At last! Summer finally arrived this week, with scores of people taking advantage of the glorious sunshine to 'mess about in boats' in the waters off Tenby. Among them were smiling holidaymakers who packed the pleasure craft bound for Caldey Island and some 130 entrants in the Guls RS200 National Championships, hosted by the local sailing club, who enjoyed some testing conditions in Carmarthen Bay. As we were going to press, temperatures continued to rise and hopes were high for a bumper bank holiday weekend.
