Two substantial donations towards funding a new medallion for the Mayor of Tenby's chain have been given in memory of a young local man.
The gifts, given in memory of David Thomas, who died in a tragic swimming accident last year, were from his father, retired teacher Owen 'Tot' Thomas, and a family friend, John Griffiths, and were warmly welcomed by town councillors on Tuesday.
The medallion, which will have a suitable memorial inscription, will now be ordered by the council.
