The Mayor of Tenby has praised the festive spirit of a small community in Tenby.

At Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Julie Evans congratulated the organisers of a special Christmas dinner held for residents of Augustus Place over the festive period.

"It was lovely that they organised that Christmas lunch in the Community Centre," she said. "It shows a tremendous spirit amongst those residents, so well done to Maureen Ward and Robyn Scanlon and all those involved in arranging it."

Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane agreed, adding: "It's picking up where we used to be years ago with regards to the community spirit there. They also put in a great effort with their floral displays for the Tenby in Bloom event and they're already planning their own street party to celebrate the Royal wedding."
