As we enter 2017 there is always uncertainty of what the New Year may bring. There will undoubtedly be changes which may affect our town and new challenges to be faced.

However following a recent survey and several meetings the regeneration team are developing a masterplan for the town which we hope will bring significant changes and improvements.

Your involvement and ideas are essential and with your support I am sure Pembroke will continue to thrive.

We are blessed to live in such an historic and friendly town.

May we continue to welcome visitors to share in our history and also to provide a safe happy environment for our residents.

I would like to pay tribute to those in our community who support and help those in need and give of their time so freely. Without their tireless efforts Pembroke would be a poorer place.

The first seven months of my year in office has been packed with interesting events and new experiences.

I have had the opportunity to meet so many people, to make new friends and to appreciate all the good things that are happening locally.

I look forward to the next few months with eager anticipation.
