The wedding took place on July 4 at St. Mary's Church, Tenby, of Mr. Shawn Attewell and Miss Kellie Mackenzie.

The groom, who is in the construction trade, is the eldest son and stepson of Mike and Sharon Thomas, of Hean Close, Saundersfoot, while the groom's father, Mr. Stephen Attewell, was unable to attend.

The bride, who works at Barclays Bank, Tenby, is the only daughter of Mrs. Peta Mackenzie, of Milford Haven, and Mr. Terry Heffernan, of Swindon.

Given away by her father, the bride wore an Alfred Angelo strapless gown, in ivory, with pale pink detail, beaded bodice and full train. She carried a bouquet of cream and pink lilies.

Attending her as bridesmaids were Miss Victoria Attewell (groom's sister), Miss Stacey Palmer (bride's cousin) and Miss Holly Beniams (friend), who all wore strapless pink satin dresses and carried posies of flowers to complement the bride's bouquet.

Flower girl was Miss Letisha Attewell (groom's niece), who wore an ivory silk dress with matching ballet shoes.

Best man was Mr. David Bancroft (friend) and the ushers were Mr. Wayne Attewell (groom's brother) and Sam and Ben Mackenzie (bride's brothers). There were two page boys, Trystan Attewell and JayDen Hogan (groom's nephews). All 10 of the men in the bridal party wore Welsh tartan kilts, signifying 'Pride of Wales.'

The bride's mother wore an outfit of navy and cerise with matching hat, while the groom's mother wore a three-piece suit in a medium pink.

After the ceremony, which was conducted by Rev. John (vicar), a reception was held at Trefloyne Golf Club, Penally, where the celebrations ended with a magnificent firework display.

On return from honeymoon in Italy, the couple will be making their home in Tenby.
