St. Mary's Church, Tenby, was the picturesque setting for the wedding on Saturday of Mr. Lloyd Bowen and Miss Nicola Rees.

The groom, a lecturer of history at Cardiff University, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bowen, of Treorchy, while the bride, a history teacher at Bassaleg High School, Newport, is the younger daughter of Alun and Mair Rees, of New Hedges.

Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory duchess satin dress and carried a bouquet of ivory roses.

Bridesmaids were her sister Catrin Sarrionandia and friend, Emma Sarrionandia, who both wore fuchsia pink dresses and carried posies of fuchsia coloured gerberas.

Also in attendance was flower girl, Sian Roach, bride's cousin, who wore an ivory dress.

Best man was James Thomas, groom's friend, and the ushers were Mr. D. Griffiths and Mr. K. Hanzel, also groom's friends.

The ceremony was conducted by Canon David Jenkins and the organist was Dr. John Harrison.

Before the ceremony and during the signing of the register, the guests were entertained by Tenby Male Voice Choir, conducted by Mr. Paul Rapi.

A reception was held at St. Bride's Hotel, Saundersfoot, and the couple, who are spending their honeymoon in Provence, will be making their home in Pendoylan, near Cowbridge.
