St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, was the picturesque setting for the recent wedding of Mr. Benjamin Thomas and Miss Marie Elaine Fanus.

The groom, a musician, is the middle son of Kerry and Jill Thomas, of Inwood, Cold Inn, Kilgetty, while the bride, a teacher, is the eldest daughter of Richard and Josephine Fanus, of Merryvale, Templebar Road, Pentlepoir.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a Gabriel design ivory silk duchess satin dress which featured a boned bodice and full skirt. Her matching veil was held in place by a 'Gold Abigail' style tiara and she carried a hand-tied posy with butter roses and cheerful flowers.

Bridesmaid was the bride's sister, Helen Fanus, who wore a bodice and skirt in chocolate organza with matching wrap.

Best men were the groom's brothers, Matthew and David Thomas, while the ushers were Michaela Thomas, groom's sister, and Royston Badham, bride's cousin.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by Rev. Michael Butler and the flower and church decorations were arranged by family friend, Gillian Morgan.

The bride and her father arrived at the church in a Mark II 3.8 Jaguar saloon, while the mother of the bride and the bridesmaid were transported in a Ford Cortina Mark II 1600E. The classic cars were kindly provided by the bride's uncle, Bernard Nash, and Geoff Pilliner, family friend.

Following the ceremony, a wedding reception was held at the Castlemead Hotel, Manorbier.

The couple will be making their future home in Hereford.
