Police are appealing for any witnesses to a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the sharp bend between Hodgeston and Jameston late on Saturday night.
A dark blue Peugeot 205 has been discovered in the hedge and a male person made off from the scene on foot.
He is described as a white male aged in his late 20s to early 30s, slim build, approximately five foot eight to five foot 10 tall with dark hair which was long on top falling onto his forehead.
He was wearing a brown leather jacket, dark jeans and lost a white leather Ellesse trainer in his attempt to escape.
