Group president John Brock MBE (pictured) looks forward to a new open season to the public at the community control tower project on the wartime airfield at Carew.

The restored flying control building and museum will be open on Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 10 am to 3 pm.

The Secretary of State for Wales, Stephen Crabb MP, accompanied by Angela Burns AM, paid a visit to the project on Friday to view the progress of the museum.

The party was also given an update on the construction of the hangar which is due to start during May.

On completion of the hangar, the restoration of the Avro Anson aircraft will commence.

Visitors and anyone interested in the project and the Anson restoration programme are welcome to visit the control tower on Saturday mornings between 9.30 am and 12 noon, when the members are involved in the maintenance of the complex.
