A father from Pembrokeshire is hoping for some help in finding a missing clue as part of a special scavenger treasure hunt for his daughter’s 21st birthday.

Toby Rhys-Davies recently embarked on a mission to mark his daughter Islay’s special birthday by mapping out a treasure hunt around the county with 21 drops representing each year and all drops relating to a year in her life.

Each clue also contained £21 and a special birthday present, but unfortunately one of those went missing.

“We started at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest where it all started on a stormy night 21 years ago with the first clue and £21 duct taped to the tree by the entrance sign,” explained Toby, who runs the Apple Camping glamping site in Redberth.

“All clues were collected successfully including the one buried on Dobby’s dune at Freshwater West beach, as Islay is a huge Harry Potter fan, and things were going to plan until we got to St Florence where she as a one-year-old crawled up the then unsecured drain, so we put a clue in the drain, but the hunt went a bit sour as this was the only one to go missing.

“So if anyone can give information to the whereabouts of this clue and the £21 contents I am happy to put up a reward,” added Toby who can be contacted via email at: [email protected]
