WELL done to Summerhill singer Cherie Morgan who has just had her song 'Crazy Insane' selected as a winner in the 'Make it break it awards'.

For winning, Cherie's prize includes an all expenses paid four-day 'Music Industry Academy' at the world famous Paul McCartney Auditorium at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, from October 27 to 31.

The academy includes a variety of masterclasses and tutuion from industry professionals, a Q and A session with A and R, culminating in Cherie performing her winning song with a live house band at the awards ceremony to music industry guests, friends and family.

The young singer songwriter has also won a £500 Yamaha voucher for the school/college of her choice, which she will be giving to Greenhill School in Tenby, where she studied music and drama.

The judging panel included Radio 2 DJ Mark Radcliffe, Guy Moot (EMI Publishing), Harvey Goldsmith (promoter), Steve Levine (producer), Melanie Armstrong (HMV Music) and Mike Walsh (XFM Radio).

"I am really excited about the Music Academy and looking forward to working with all the professionals to improve my songwriting and performance skills," said Cherie.

"It is a wonderful opportunity and one that I will be making the most of and I intend to enjoy every minute," added Cherie, who has just started a theatre arts course at Middlesex University.
