Senior Cup (Quarter Finals)
Carew 5 Solva 1

Carl Wainwright opened the scoring after 15 minutes when he drilled the ball into the bottom corner from a cross by Richard Bullock.
James Buckle extended the lead after being set up by Richard Bullock, to give the home team a lead of two goals at the interval.
In the last 20 minutes of the second half, Carew got the upper hand and scored three more goals.
James Buckle picked up his second goal with an excellent finish after a cross from the left by Richard Bullock and then Ian Sefton extended the lead when he was put into position with a perceptive header by skipper Darren John who had moved from defence to midfield.
Solva managed to get one goal back with a penalty by Lee Davies, but James Buckle had the last word when he completed an excellent hat-trick after some clever work between Daryl John and Richard Bullock.
James Buckle had a first class game for Carew, while Paul and Richard Bullock both had excellent games in midfield.
Merlin's Bridge 4 Saundersfoot Sports 2
The game started at a fast pace for the first 20 minutes and the Bridge took the lead when Peter Thomas had a first time shot from 15 yards.
If anything, the visitors had had the edge during the opening exchanges and soon equalised when Steve Davies nipped in between the 'keeper and a defender to score.
With 10 minutes of the first half remaining, Sports made the cardinal error of not playing the whistle for offside. The Bridge centre half Peter Jones stayed up for a corner and took advantage of the standstill in the Saundersfoot defence to give the Bridge the lead just before half-time.
At the start of the second half Saundersfoot suffered a blow when Steve Ruff was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a head injury. Peter Rattenbury proved to be an admirable deputy, but Sports lost their composure for a while and Simon Thomas took advantage of the situation to net twice.
Although Steve Davies nipped in to score from a through ball in much the same way as he had scored the first goal, Sports could not get back into the game, despite the efforts of Jason Bridges and Jason Llama, both of whom came close to scoring.
The injury to Steve Ruff unsettled the visitors, but there was no doubt that the Bridge were the better team on the day.
For Saundersfoot, Sion Brace had a good game in midfield as did Simon Brace in defence.
Division One
Camrose 0 Narberth 2
Narberth held on to a top four spot in Division One with a comfortable away win at Camrose after a goalless first half.
The visitors played some good football and livewire Raff Barnett gave them the lead in the second half. After finding his first attempt at goal blocked by the crossbar, Barnett followed up and did well to chip the Camrose 'keeper.
After scoring the first goal, Barnett created the second by putting 16-year-old Adi Jones through and the young striker showed his maturity by coolly finding the back of the net.
In the last 20 minutes, two players received their marching orders. First to go was Narberth 'keeper Huw Davies, who inadvertently caught the heels of a Camrose player when attempting to clear the ball. As the last defender, he received a red card and was replaced in goal by Wayne Howells.
Ten minutes later, Camrose were also reduced to 10 men when Adi Smith was red-carded.
Although Camrose exerted pressure for the last 20 minutes of the game, the Bluebirds' defence held firm.
Raff Barnett had an outstanding game and there were other good performances by Charlie Smith, Richard Nash and Adi Jones in a game where everyone pulled their weight.
Tenby 2
St Ishmaels 0
No quarter was ever asked or given in this hard physical match and the Tenby players were able to stand up to the rigours of the contest as well as displaying high skill levels.
Jack Christopher gave Tenby the lead in the first half with a superb diving header after picking up the ball from a free-kick by Phil Catlin.
In the second half, although Tish continued to press strongly, Tenby were able to hold on to the lead and with five minutes of the match remaining, Jack Christopher made the game safe with his second goal, this time from a goalmouth scramble.
It was a great team effort by the Tenby players, all of whom drew plaudits from team manager Gavin Scotcher.
Dewi Davies pulled off some crucial saves in goal, young Jack Christopher took his goals well, while Jimmy Thomas and Ricky Morgan both excelled in midfield.
Division Two Cup (First round)
Pembroke Boro 2 Pendine 3
Pendine had an exciting win at Pembroke Boro in this first round replay, although Gary John was the first to score and gave Boro a lead of one goal at the interval.
At the start of the second half, a penalty from Justin Blewitt levelled the scores and then Gary Owen struck the ball from 30 yards to find the back of the net with a first time effort to put the Seagulls in front.
In the closing stages of this cup tie, the action moved from end to end at a frantic pace.
Darren Thomas equalised for the Boro, but a late goal by Stephen Jones clinched the game for Pendine to book a place in the second round.
On balance, the Seagulls deserved to win taking the two games as a whole. Justin Blewitt was creative in midfield and Mark Doble excelled in goal.
Milford Athletic 2
St. Clears 1
The first half was a rather scrappy display and neither team could get on top.
Sam Thomas did 'score' after an excellent run by Steve Trevitt, but the goal was disallowed for being offside.
At the start of the second half, the Saints took the lead with a free-kick by Craig Swanborough, but Mike Evans equalised for Milford Athletic.
Within two minutes, the Athletic team took and then kept the lead after a goal by Phil West and despite the efforts of the Saints, the visitors were unable to get back into the game.
The St. Clears defence was solid, with good performances by Jason Baxter, Nick Hogburn, Andrew Waters and Craig Weston, while Steve Trevitt had a lively game in midfield.
Kilgetty 2
Johnston 1
Kilgetty started well and came close to taking the lead on two occasions through Geoff Marsh, before a run by Marsh gave his side the first goal of the match.
A Johnston defender got his hand to the ball when he dived at the feet of the oncoming Marsh. Kilgetty were awarded a penalty, Mike Beynon scored and Johnston were reduced to 10 men.
Kilgetty continued to exercise control in the second half, although a lapse of concentration allowed Johnston to poach an equaliser through Adrian Moore.
However, Mike Beynon regained the lead with a spectacular scissors kick after a good combination between Geoff Marsh and Mike Scale.
The goal boosted the Kilgetty players and for the remainder of the game they kept a tight grip on proceedings.
The experienced Bobby Bevan had a top class game in midfield and Lee Watts defended well at the back.
Division Two
Lawrenny 0
Fishguard Sports 2
The attraction of a day out in Cardiff for the rugby international between Wales and Scotland proved too much for some Lawrenny players, but their replacements did an excellent job. With such a depleted team, it was surprising that Lawrenny created a number of chances in the first 20 minutes, until the visitors scored from a free-kick.
Lawrenny continued to hold their own, until conceding a goal minutes before the interval.
Lawrenny continued to put up a great fight, but goal-scoring opportunities were denied by the agility of Sports' 'keeper Mark Ashman, a former Lawrenny player, who pulled off some superb saves.
Andrew Cole found his shot blocked, as did Robert Williams from a free-kick, and a header by Steven Jones from six yards was saved at point blank range by Ashman.
It was a committed effort by the Lawrenny team who deserved at least one point out of this match.
Hubberston 1 Manorbier 2
Lowly Manorbier had an excellent win away at fifth placed Hubberston.
The game was played at pace throughout, with action moving quickly from one end to the other and the visitors had the edge during the first half.
Although Manorbier created a number of half chances, they were unable to find the back of the net until Paul Maytum scored after 25 minutes. Ben Hall took the corner and the ball was flicked on to Maytum who gave the Hubberston 'keeper no chance from the shot into the top of the net.
The visitors pressed home their advantage by increasing the lead before the interval when Rob Thomas hit a scorching shot from 20 yards with his left foot which went into the bottom corner, aided by the slightest of deflections.
Playing uphill in the second half, Manorbier did not find things moving so smoothly.
After 20 minutes, Hubberston were back in the game with a bang when Greg MacIntosh scored with a header.
However, Manorbier held on to record a hard earned win through an excellent team effort.
Paul Asher had an excellent game at fullback.
Division Three
St. Florence 3 Angle 2
St. Florence kept up with the Division Three leaders after their narrow home win against Angle.
It looked as if the Saints would be registering a cricket score after they had built up a lead of three goals in the first 15 minutes. However, the visitors were let back into the game.
Mathew Jones opened the scoring for the Saints followed up with a shot from 30 yards by Stuart Adams. A goal by James Knight made it three, but just before half-time Angle struck back with a goal from Mark Lynas.
Angle fought hard to get back into the game and the deficit was reduced to just one goal when Gareth Whittle scored shortly after half-time.
The Saints continued to create chances, but the scoring for the afternoon had been completed.
It was a good team performance by St. Florence and captain Mathew Jones led the way with a top class performance in midfield.
Templeton 1 Haverfordwest County 3
In an action-packed game, Templeton held their own for most of the first half against the Division Three leaders. However, shortly before half-time, the action became overheated, with the result that Templeton lost two players and Haverfordwest County one, when the referee issued three red cards.
County took the lead through David Davies and in another piece of football action on the field, Guto Davies saved a penalty for Templeton midway through the first half.
In the second half, for the first 20 minutes play was fairly even, despite the imbalance in team numbers. Although Mathew Fox increased the lead for the visitors after 25 minutes, Dominic Norcross, who came on as a substitute, clawed one back for Templeton.
However, the second goal of the match for David Davies extended the lead for the visitors once again as County eventually confirmed their position at the top of the table with a comfortable win.
Christopher Frearson showed his versatility by playing as a striker for most of the first half and in midfield for the remainder of the game, while Joe Philpin also had a good all-round game in midfield.
Reserve Division One
St. Ishmaels 2
Kilgetty 0
Although no goals were scored during the first half, Tish had the better of proceedings, but Kilgetty held out well.
After 10 minutes of the second half, a volley by Liam Duffield following a break down the right gave Tish the lead.
Tish continued to exert control, although Kilgetty put in a determined performance, despite lacking fluency in their play.
The visitors did have a chance to equalise when Duane Rossiter put Tommy Howells through, but the Tish 'keeper pulled off an excellent save.
In the closing stages of the second half, Daniel Flynn made the game safe for Tish with a shot from outside the box. Young defender Ben Hughes was the pick of the Kilgetty players on the day.
Narberth 3
Goodwick United 4
Narberth and Goodwick are both snapping at the heels of the Reserve Division One leaders, but the Bluebirds were unable to fine their best touches in this match.
A header from Ian Hughes following a corner by Nigel Williams put the Bluebirds in front and the lead was extended by Simon Evans who toe-poked a ball home following good work by Richard Henton and Nigel Thomas.
A lack of concentration combined with poor defending just before and just after half-time allowed the Goodwick team back into the game.
Daniel Williams reduced the deficit before the interval and Michael Griffiths equalised as soon as play resumed.
Steven Rowe snatched the initiative for Goodwick to put them in front, but the Bluebirds appeared to have saved the day when Nigel Thomas scored a brilliant goal three minutes before the end of the match following a cross by substitute Lee James.
As the Bluebirds pressed to get a winner, Michael Griffiths broke away for Goodwick to snatch a late winner, much to the disappointment of the Bluebirds players.
The experienced Nigel Thomas held the ball well up front, Huw Vaughan combined well with Adrian Howells and Nigel Williams in midfield and Nigel Davies put in a solid performances at the back.
Hakin United 5
Carew 1
The Vikings had a lead of one goal at the interval following a strike by Nick Thomas after 30 minutes in a pretty even first half. Both teams had their chances to score, but were unable to get the ball into the back of the net.
In the second half, the Vikings took control and, although Carew battled hard, eventually the defences crumbled to the invaders. Joff Lennon increased the lead for the Vikings, before Seb Palin picked up Carew's consolation goal.
In the last 15 minutes, Carew were unable to repel the invaders, who scored three goals, one by David Davies and the other two from Adam Bayjoo.
The Vikings justified their top of the table status in this match and, although the visitors battled hard, they were unable to keep the goal scorers at bay for 90 minutes.
The back four did a good job for Carew marshalled by the experienced sweeper David Lewis, who played despite carrying a leg injury.
Saundersfoot Sports 3 Tenby 2
It was a very exciting local derby with both teams producing quality football.
The visitors showed their intent from the start and, although David Douglas Law scored twice to put the home team in front, Tenby hit the woodwork four times in the first half.
Jimmy Cowan hit the posts with a header, both David Otton and Liam Robson hit the crossbar and Liam Culshaw hit the posts.
If Tenby had edged the first half, despite the scoreline, Saundersfoot were the better team in the second half.
Liam Culshaw had an early opportunity to put Tenby back in the game, but David Douglas Law completed his hat-trick after an excellent run by Gary Cunningham down the left.
After Saundersfoot had missed out on a few scoring opportunities, Tenby came back into the game with a goal by Liam Culshaw, which was hit hard and low into the back of the net.
Tenby continued to push forward and Stuart MacLaren took full advantage of a defensive error to dart in to score Tenby's second goal.
Despite the efforts of the visitors, no more goals were scored in the match.
For Saundersfoot, Gary Cunningham in the midfield, together with the back four of Steve Smith, Mike Cornick, Paul Thomas and Steven Badham, provided the platform for the victory bid.
Former Tenby rugby player Mike Evans had an outstanding game in the back four for Tenby, who left it a bit late to get back in the game despite their second half rally.
Reserve Division Two
Pendine 4 Solva 2
Greg Reynolds was the toast of Pendine on Saturday after scoring all four goals as the Seagulls had a comfortable win at home against Solva.
This excellent piece of marksmanship by Reynolds gave his team their second win of the season.
Fishguard Sports 5 Lawrenny 0
With so many footballers watching the rugby international at Cardiff, Lawrenny had to make eight changes in their team to travel to Fishguard.
Rob Thomas gave the Sports the lead after just five minutes when he tucked the ball away after a move down the left and a penalty by Joel Garnon after a handball incident extended the lead before half-time.
In the second half, Joel Garnon increased the lead with his second goal of the match and then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot, before Dean Drummond completed the scoring for the afternoon.
Lawrenny goalkeeper Paul Dowling had the unusual experience of not only saving a penalty in the second half, but also saving the retake which, is something for him to savour.
In addition, he also got a hand to the two penalties previously scored by the Fishguard team.
Apart from the Lawrenny 'keeper, the other player to catch the eye for the visitors was solitary striker Ieuan Jenkins.
Manorbier United 0 Neyland 5
Despite losing their 16th game in 17 league outings, the Manorbier players are not disheartened and are determined to pick up their first league win of the season with the target firmly set on the home match against Solva tomorrow (Saturday).
Neyland were three goals up at half-time after goals by Gareth Jenkins, Shaun Hannon and Greg Keen.
Although Manorbier defended well in the second half, Neyland pressure resulted in two more goals, one by Greg Keen and the other from an own goal.
Phil Kidney played well in midfield for Manorbier, while Eddie Atwell showed his versatility with a solid performance in the back four, before taking over in goal from goalkeeper Tom Christopher, who had suffered a groin strain.
