The Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Co, based in Tenby, recently had success at the British Senior Open golf tournament which took place in this July. The Royal Porthcawl Golf Club were looking for a uniquely Welsh product to offer to their visors and staff members during this prestigious sporting event, and the Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Co were contacted. Rhian Booth, of the Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Co, commented: "We hand-make all our products using Welsh meats and vegetables so after some discussions over what was required, as well as some tasting sessions, we were able to create a range that fit perfectly with their needs for this particular event." Jo Hall, house manager for Royal Porthcawl, expressed her thanks to the company: "I want to extend a personal thanks for the delicious products the Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Co provided us with for the British Senior Open golf tournament last week. Our customers enjoyed them almost as much as the staff! The media centre, including local and worldwide journalists, were particularly impressed with the 'Springing Shepherd' (Welsh lamb and mint) mini pies. We hope to use this fantastic company for the British Amateur Open next June."
