Several teams of Coastguard from Wales and the West of England, including members from Llanstephan, Tenby and Dale, together with the sector manager from South Pembs, Mr. Dave Miller, have been seconded to Gloucestershire to assist in the flood relief. They left on Tuesday and will be deployed whilst the crisis lasts. The total deployed from the Swansea and Milford Haven Coastguard Area, includes two managers in Gold and Silver Controls, and 24 officers and six vehicles assisting on the streets. There was also talk of other members of the local Coastguard teams being deployed later in the week.
