It’s several years since Andrew Wall grew up in Tenby, attended Greenhill School and spent his summers working for the council cleaning the town’s beaches.
After his time at Greenhill, he initially worked and studied at Manor House Zoo, before going on to Carmarthen College of Art and later to London.
But what happened after that? Well in 1999, he decided to seek pastures new and took the step to move overseas to Tenerife in the Canary Isles... and hasn’t looked back since.
Drew has lived there now for 18 years, but still has an affection for his native Pembrokeshire and returns annually to see his family and to ‘recharge his batteries’.
And it was while on one of those visits back home recently, that he popped into our offices to tell us a little a bit about himself and his business ventures since leaving these shores.
“During my time in Tenerife, I have successfully launched a number of business ventures on the islands and in mainland Europe, including a biochemical company World Bio Solutions,” he explained. “We manufacture a 100 per cent biodegradable hydrogen peroxide to be used in water purification, agriculture, livestock, health care and the cleaning of waste water from the production of petroleum and are involved in a number of projects globally at present.”
He also operates an Hawaiian outrigger canoe business ‘Stormrider Outriggers’.
“I have represented the islands in competition over the years, during which time I have fallen in love with the sport and do have plans to bring a number of the boats to Tenby in the near future as the coastline is perfect for this type of activity,” said Drew.
A successful construction and reforms company, ‘Bluestone Construction’, is another of his ventures, and as if all that is not enough, Drew also finds time to be a real-estate broker with his Tenerife-based property investment and development company, ‘Property Campus’.
“We provide professional services which cover the whole spectrum of what is required when someone would like to relocate, build, purchase and or invest within the Canary Islands,” he stated.
Drew has also recently been in Tenby with his family looking around Pembrokshire for a second home so they can spend more time in Wales.
“I have three boys Duke, Tyler and Zac all born on Tenerife and I feel its important for them to experience the incredible natural beauty, rich culture and history we are blessed with in our small but proud country,” he said.
Meanwhile, if anyone has any questions regarding life in the Canaries, Drew says he would be only too happy to help and can be contacted on 0034 647 121 758 or [email protected]
