A local artist from Clunderwen has been selected to exhibit in a prestigious show in London.

Neville Weston's work will be exhibited in the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize 2008 - an exhibition of creative representational painting showcasing the talents and skills of artists working directly from observation.

Four years ago, the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers, in collaboration with the Lynn Foundation, identified a need to encourage creative representational painting and promote the skill of draughtsmanship. Now in its fourth year, the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize champions the wealth of otherwise unseen and underrated art in the UK today.

This year, from over 800 nationwide submissions, just 64 works were selected by a panel of esteemed judges to exhibit within the historic Painters' Hall, in the heart of The City of London.

The exhibition of selected works will take place in the Painters' Hall, 9 Little Trinity Lane, London, from November 19-29.
