Tenby's all-weather relief Tamar class lifeboat was requested to launch at 1.50 pm on Saturday after Milford Haven Coastguard had received a pan-pan call from the yacht Heather Belle, with two persons on board, stating that they had suffered engine failure six miles south-east of Caldey Island.
The vessel was soon located and due to poor weather conditions, a crew member from the lifeboat was put on board the yacht to assist, as one of the casualties was suffering from extreme sea sickness and the other had fallen and injured his ribs.
The vessel was taken in tow to Tenby, arriving at 3.50 pm.
The yacht was placed on a secure mooring, while the two crew were landed at the lifeboat station and handed into the care of ambulance paramedics.
