Two of the UK’s best loved DJs - BBC Radio’s Dave Pearce and the UK godfather of dance music Slipmatt are set to make an appearance at Tenby’s De Valence Pavilion tonight (Friday) for the Summer Dance Party, along with support from Tenby’s number one DJ, Danny Slade, and the DJ that rocked the crowds after Judge Jules played in January, DJ Tommie Quick.

Like the last two Events For Wales dance events at the De Valence Pavilion with Judge Jules at the end of January and Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show earlier this summer, demand for tickets for this August Bank Holiday event is very high.

DJ Dave Pearce is perhaps best known for his national Dance Anthems show that ran on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6 for many years, for his numerous live broadcasts from Swansea’s Superclub Escape and for his many appearances at Wales’ number one dance festival Escape Into The Park where he regularly played to an audience of 25,000 revellers.

Slipmatt is one of the founding fathers or the UK dance scene and was one of the first of the super league of DJs that regularly played at some of the UK’s most famous events that made national news headlines in the early 1990s and onwards.

He made it to number two in the national charts with his record On A Ragga Tip and released compilations for the likes of the Ministry Of Sound and is a multi award winning DJ. He regularly DJs all over the world and is booked up often for years in advance.

When asked about the Tenby Summer Dance Party with Dave Pearce and Slipmatt, Events For Wales promoter and CEO, Chris Johnson, commented: “After the massive sellout successes of our first two dance parties at the De Valence Pavilion, the Judge Jules event and the recent show with Craig Charles, we are really looking forward to this Bank Holiday event at what has fast become Pembrokeshire’s number one venue for music and comedy shows. The DJ’s are top quality and the sound and production on the night will be industry standard.”

Doors open from 8 pm - 2 am and early arrival is advised to avoid disappointment.
