Sir,
I watched with great sadness the television reports on the death in Afghanistan of Corporal Nicholas Webster-Smith.
I was outraged by the behaviour of the pupils at Greenhill School who were in the background as the reporter was talking about the life of Corporal Webster-Smith.
The children were laughing and leaping in the air, making silly faces and doing all the things that children do when television cameras are present. Surely somebody at the school should have briefed the children on how to behave with dignity in this instance. I only hope Corporal Webster-Smith's family were not watching.
I feel this sadly reflects the lack of respect and discipline in our schools today.
Jennifer Toler,
