A kite surfer has thanked members of the emergency rescue services who went to his assistance on Saturday evening.
As a result, he spent some 15 minutes in the sea repairing the damage before proceeding to Pendine.
However, while he was in the water, a member of the public telephoned the emergency services reporting there was someone in difficulties off Ragwen Point.
Tenby inshore lifeboat was launched and the town's mobile coastguard rescue unit tasked to attend the incident.
On arrival at Pendine, the coastguard team spoke to the surfer, who was by now approaching the shore, and he explained what had happened and that he was not in any trouble. He was grateful that a member of the public had seen him in the water and had alerted the rescue services who came to his aid.
