A brief audience poll suggested that this 'unknown' band would need to pull off something special to win over the crowd who had gathered in the drizzle mainly to see the procession and fireworks.
But pull it off they did! Musically accomplished, with a battery of songs, including the anthemic 'Freedom is Everything', 'Change' and 'Hear What I Said', that would give the likes of the Manic Street Preachers or U2 a real run for their money, Kardomah made everyone stand up and take notice.
From their opening number through to the last chord of their all too brief set, more and more people gathered closer to the stage - earplugs might have been advisable! Kardomah's message came through as loud and clear as their music - they intend to make it big!
There is a very good chance that the band will be appearing in a very special show at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, in early spring... watch this space!
