TENBY'S Fourcroft Hotel is the venue for a Jazz Day tomorrow (Saturday).

Two great jazz sessions are planned to cover a selection of swinging music that oozes quality and enjoyment if you are a toe-tapping type.

Saturday lunch is the time to sample the sounds of Parisian swing a la Django Reinhardt, as Welsh guitar wizard Gary Phillips brings his 'Amigos' to the cliff top hotel. Gary has been leading The Amigos for many years and winning prizes at French Gypsy festivals as well as thrilling all guitar fans with his superb take on Hot Club music.

Gary and fellow plucker Andy King are joined by an excellent bass person to complete the trio.

Perfect lunchtime acoustic music to go with a tasty lunch from the hotel kitchen, and it starts at 12.30 pm.

Saturday evening is the time to enjoy the twin saxes of Chris Ryan and Tom Harris, of The Groucho Club. This amazing outfit features two of the most talented sax players in Wales who play the mainstream and swing classics mainly known through big bands.

The rhythm section is Wynn Phillips on guitar, Nigel Clement bass guitar and Pete Mason drums.

The music starts at 8 pm, and of course first class suppers are available in the dining room.

All day there will be a chance to swap LPs and CDs at the 'bring and buy mart'. Between the lunch and evening sessions you will be able to see some classic jazz films on the big screen.

This will be a great day to experience high quality live jazz in Tenby.
