THE extremely popular West Country entertainers, The Tone Valley Jazz Band, come to West Wales on Sunday, September 19. The band, which is based mainly in Somerset, was formed over 40 years ago. Despite changes in personnel over the ensuing period, the Tone Valley jazzmen continue to provide a musical recipe that is enjoyed and appreciated wherever they play. So if you enjoy lively Chicago/Dixieland style jazz, don't miss brunch at the Fourcroft Hotel, Tenby, on the third Sunday in September. There'll be plenty of classic standards to stamp your feet to and lively songs to listen to, so don't miss this unique chance to hear the best from the West. Accomplished trumpeter Denny Blackmore will lead the band, which includes bass guitarist Dave Stratford, Keith Hall on guitar/banjo (with great vocals) and Pembrokeshire-based Tudor Thomas on trombone. For advance ticket reservations, including the Fourcroft brunch, call (01834) 842886 (tickets cost £12 per person).
