The annual general meeting of the Inner Wheel Club and handover was held at the Swallow Tree Restaurant, Saundersfoot. President Pearl Holding welcomed those present and reported on her successful and enjoyable year of office.

She thanked all her officers and members for their support and friendship. Congratulations were extended to President Pearl on receiving the Paul Harris award from the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland in recognition of the contribution she had made to the Inner Wheel and her duties during the years working with the elderly. This is only given by Rotarians to persons who have made outstanding contributions to the movement.

Secretary Elaine Bradbury reported that the District chairman's visit would be on December 7, which would be the date of the club's Christmas Dinner.

The District meeting will be on June 25 and the annual general meeting at Aberavon on July 30. President-elect Sylvia James then presented Pearl with a bouquet and gift voucher and congratulated her on a very successful year.

Pearl in return handed over the chain of office with best wishes for the coming year .

A superb meal was then served by the staff of the restaurant.

Officers for the coming year are: president - Sylvia James, vice-president - Elaine Davies, secretary - Elaine Bradbury, treasurer - Helen John, overseas - Brenda Allen and club correspondent - Anne Jones.

The executive meeting will be held on July 27, at 7 pm, at president Sylvia's home.
