Members and friends of the South West Wales area group of the British Polio Fellowship are pictured with guest speaker at their recent meeting, Henry Langen, of Narberth.
Henry, who is chairman of the Pembrokeshire Access Group and vice-chairman of the board of directors of Disability Wales, gave an interesting and informative talk covering various aspects of access issues for the disabled, as well as talking about the Social Model of Disability.
Henry was the group's first speaker and he was warmly thanked for his time by Pat Owen, one of the group's leaders.
The meeting was held at the Roadhouse Restaurant, Llanboidy, near Whitland, where lunch was also enjoyed.
The next meeting will be at the same venue on Friday, July 8, at 12 noon.
Though this is a small group, they are keen to arrange a varied programme of talks and outings which will be of interest to all members and will enable them to maintain the friendships that have already been made.
For more information about the July meeting, which is open to both members and non-members or anyone with an interest in the work of the British Polio Fellowship, please contact Pat Owen on 01994 240227 or Ann Revell on (01834) 813833.
