From Lapland to a lap around the seaside town of Tenby - as the spectacular Santa Run returned on the weekend, with a great turnout for the charitable event organised by Tenby Round Table.

Mayor of Tenby, Cllr Sam Skyrme-Blackhall was on hand to start the race on Sunday, with over a hundred Santas taking part

“Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for the triumphant return of the Tenby Santa Run! It was a pleasure for us at Tenby Round Table to be able to bring this charity event back to our town after a two year break,” said Round Table chairman Ed Spence.

“Big thanks to St Mary's Church, Tenby, members of Bella Voce for their wonderful singing, Tenby Youth RFC for cooking and serving donuts, Tenby Penguins for volunteering to marshal the route, Mayor, Cllr Sam Skyrme-Blackhall for starting the race, all our wonderful volunteers, and especially for the over 100 Santals who joined us for a lap around Tenby!”

Tenby Round Table’s next charitable event will be to serve the senior citizens of the community for the Christmas Dinner to be held at the De Valence Pavilion once again, on Wednesday, December 14. This event is made possible with the support of Tenby Town Council, Qube Restaurant, Andrew Rees Butchers, Coors Brewery and the Cove Bar and Lounge.

The Qube will be preparing a traditional dish of roast turkey, seasonal vegetables, homemade gravy and all the trimmings, as well as a vegetarian option of vegetable wellington. To finish, a delicious homemade trifle.

Anyone over the age of 65 and living in Tenby town is eligible for the free festive dinner. Arrive at 6.30 pm and to be served at 7 pm. Collection is available for those unable to make the journey to the De Valence themselves.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to contact the Qube Restaurant on 01834 845719 to book their spot.
