Tenby’s Fourcroft Hotel’s long-association with the Tenby Boxing Day Swim is continuing as the business enters a new era.

For over 70 years, the Fourcroft was in the ownership of the Osborne family, whose members have been at the heart of the Tenby Sea Swimming Association (TSSA), which has organised the swim throughout its 47-year history.

Although the Fourcroft changed hands at the start of the year, its management is keen to maintain the links with the legendary event, and has joined its sponsors with a £300 donation.

Said the hotel’s general manager, Andrew James: “We are very pleased to continue the Fourcroft’s tradition of supporting the Tenby Boxing Day Swim, which, of course, is a great Christmas attraction for our guests.”

Tenby Boxing Day Swim takes place on the town’s North Beach on December 26, with fun on the beach and the water getting underway at 11 am.

This year’s fancy dress theme is Comic Characters.

The two charities nominated by TSSA this year are PATCH and the Harriet Davis Trust.

Swimmers can collect for these, or their own good causes, with sponsor forms downloadable from www.tenbyboxingdayswim.co.uk
