Honeymooning in Venice following their wedding at St. Nicholas and St. Teilo Church, Penally, on Saturday, are Mr. John Vivian Evans and Miss Gemma Elizabeth Joseph.

The groom is the son of Martin and Pat Evans, of West Farm, Cosheston, while the bride is the daughter of James Joseph and the late Jan Joseph, of Roberts Wall Farm, Penally.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a white one-piece organza over satin gown with a corset back, which featured an asymetric waist and sweep train and was embellished with white chenille flowers, metallic embroidery, Swarovski crystals, bugle beads and seed beads.

Chief bridesmaid was the bride's friend, Suzy Rees, while bridesmaids were Alison Perry, groom's cousin, and Rachel Joseph and Rebecca Lewis, bride's cousins, who wore aubergine satin gowns.

Best men were the groom's brothers, George and Tipper Evans, and ushers were Phillip Perry, Nicholas Evans, Tom Howells, Matt Davies, Nicky Joseph and Dudley Joseph.

The ceremony was conducted by Canon David Jenkins and the organist was Dr. John Harrison.

A reception and evening party were held at Roberts Wall Farm, where there was also a fireworks display by the bride's cousin, Joe Diment.

The couple will be making their home in Cosheston.
