Sir,
May I through your Letters column express my most heart-felt gratitude to all the customers who used Abbey Cabs (formerly Gary's Taxis) over the last 13 years. The decision to sell the business was not an easy one. There will be many aspects of the business I shall miss dearly, most of all picking up the very loyal customers, many of them have become good friends, and have stayed with us over the years, some of whom have been using our service from day one.
From picking up my first customer some 13 years ago, to my very last customer last Monday night, my staff and myself have tried our very best to make the business reliable, convenient and safe to each and everyone. Granted there have been a few problems of various sorts, but on the whole I truly believe that we all did our best.
It is on that note that I wish to say a very big thank you to everyone, directly and indirectly involved with the running of Abbey Cabs over the years. I couldn't have done it without the help of you all.
