Congratulations to Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Pharmacy Team, who took home the top prize of ‘Mental Health Team of the Year’ at the recent Wales Healthcare and Pharmacy Awards held in Cardiff.
The team was recognised for its specialist medicines expertise across community, inpatient and specialist mental health services throughout Hywel Dda.
Through its compassion, innovation and commitment to patient-centred care, the team continues to improve outcomes, enhance patient safety and support the delivery of high-quality mental health services across the region.
Gwenllian Hughes, Lead Mental Health Pharmacist said, "We are incredibly proud to receive this award, which reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire team. We would like to dedicate it to our friend and colleague, Janet Morgan, who was part of our team for 33 years before sadly passing away last month. She is deeply missed and will always be remembered as part of our team."

Gina Williams, Pharmacy and Medicines Management Service Manager, added: “This award is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication, expertise and compassion of our Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Pharmacy Team. I am delighted to see their hard work recognised and congratulate them on this well-deserved success."
